    It is located about 48 kms from Rayagada surrounded by a series of valleys and wooden hills of varying colors and the place is a center of pilgrimage for the temple of Mahadev. It offers picnickers a gorgeous view of the waterfall. The Siva Temple is the focus of the hectic activities on Siva Ratri. The Dongaria Kondho of Chatikona represent the primitive section of the tribe.

    It is only 134 kms from Rayagada. It is a beautiful confluence of nature and religion. It is situated in the heart of dense forests, rich in wildlife. Three state rivers: Vamsadhara, Chauladhua and  Phalphalia converge at this place, where the idol is in the form of a fish called Minaketan. Due to its natural beauty Mina Jhola attracts a lot of tourists. Sivratri is a popular festival of this place.

    The Hanging Bridge that connects the two sides of river Nagavali, which provides connectivity to the poor rural tribal population, is a 151 meter suspension bridge, the second of its kind in the state. About 20,000 old tribal villagers residing in nine panchayats, on either sides of Nagavali river, located at the outskirts of the town, has certainly brought them closer to the Rayagada town. The Nagavali river has since become a tourist spot, and the bridge a tourist attraction, as families come to enjoy the serene environment of the river, the mountains around the valley, and the relative peace.

    Located 25 kms from Rayagada district headquarters, the famous Laxminarayan Temple was built by the IMFA Ltd., Therubali. The deities Laxminarayan, Hanuman, Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, Subhadra and Lord Siva also worshiped by thousand devotees. Visitors from all over the states come to visit this Temple.

    Maa Majhighariani is famous in the Southern Division of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Most of the devotees are coming from Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh including undivided Koraput district. Only the face of the Maa Majhighariani is worshiped. During Sunday, Wednesday and Friday a large number of Devotees are coming to this place for worshiping the Goddess. The temple is famous for Chaitra-Parba i.e. March, April of every year.  

    Deomali peak, with an elevation of about 1,672 m, is the highest peak in the state of Odisha. It is situated near Doodhari village, Pottangi Panchayat division which is about 70 km from Koraput via Semiliguda. It is surrounded by deep green forest, the peak is rich in flora and fauna. Deomali is dotted with brooks and deep valleys, and inhabited by tribes such as Kandhas, Parajas, Bhumia, Malis and Bhotias. It is not only a marvel for the tourists but also to the adventurous sport lovers for hang gliding, mountaineering and trekking. Many waterfalls are also found while heading for the top of the hill.

    54 km east of the Rayagada district headquarters, is the small village of Kenduguda, where the Bandanalla or Kenduguda Dam is constructed. About 325 meters in height and 48 meters in length, the dam is a budding tourist and picnic spot. The greenery around the dam provides for a clean and beautiful landscape, coupled with the cold water of the dam. While its surroundings aren’t developed into proper tourist attractions, the picturesque beauty of nature around the dam in itself attracts a lot of people who come and chill with family and friends.
